The Order
The Order of the Knights and Dames of the Holy Grail, known publicly as the Knights of the Holy Grail, is a private Christian association of an international character, devoted to the tradition of the Holy Chalice venerated in Valencia. It was constituted in collaboration with the International Association of the Camino del Santo Grial.
This website is published by the Order. Its official correspondence is handled by the Chancery: chancery@holygrailknights.com. The registered details of the association are available from the Chancery on request.
Nature of the titles of the Order
The titles, ranks and offices of the Order, including Grand Master, President, Knight, Dame, Brother, Sister and Ambassador, are associative and honorary designations within a private Christian association. They are not titles of nobility, state honours or decorations, are not conferred or recognised by any State or by the Holy See, and confer no legal status, rank or precedence. They have a purely spiritual, cultural and philanthropic character within the life of the association.
The diplomatic activities of the Order are ecclesial and cultural in nature. The Order does not claim sovereign or state status, and its Ambassadors are representatives of a private association, not diplomatic agents under international law.
Relations with other bodies
The Order is an independent association. Its collaboration with the International Association of the Camino del Santo Grial is described on this website. References to the Church, to Popes, to cathedrals, sanctuaries or other institutions are historical or descriptive and do not imply any official recognition of the Order by them, unless expressly stated.
